The renovation at the New Orleans Jazz Museum, located in the historic Old U.S. Mint, transformed the existing Performance Space and Control Room while preserving the historical significance of the building. A refresh to the Performance Space and a complete overhaul of the Control Room were completed, with the Control Room now featuring a custom Voice Over (VO) booth, replacing the existing ISO Booth, significantly improving audio production capabilities. The Control Room also included new acoustic elements, such as acoustic fabric, acoustic ceilings, and acoustic wall panels. The Performance Center showcased beautifully refinished wood floors, restored stages, and the addition of a new traveler curtain, projector, and screen, along with a custom Control Booth, enhancing the overall functionality of the venue. Throughout this renovation, our team navigated construction within an operating museum in the heart of the French Quarter. Many challenges arose due to the complexities of renovating a historic building, all of which our team successfully managed.
