The former McDonogh 38 School, damaged by fire in 2008, has undergone extensive renovation. Work included removal of the entire roof and third floor as well as a portion of the second floor. The entire interior shell of the building was reconstructed. The scope of work was comprised of installing new electrical and mechanical systems, roof system and structural framing. A kitchen was added on the back side of the building to service the existing building. This historical restoration emphasizes the reuse of as many components of the original building as possible.
