Fogo De Chão Restaurant & JW Marriott Hotel Exterior Improvements

This project on Canal Street at the crossroads of downtown New Orleans and the French Quarter, included a restaurant renovation and a completely redesigned front façade of the JW Marriott Hotel. Exterior modifications included new second and third floor balconies and signage which required scaffolding up to the top of the parapet wall across the entire façade. The two-story interior space was gutted to install all new kitchen and bar equipment, new plumbing infrastructure including a 1,500 gallon grease trap, new makeup and exhaust air systems, new fire suppression systems, new dining space, as well as additional structural changes to accommodate a new monumental stairway. Since the new restaurant encompasses 2 floors, the design includes a main kitchen and grill on the 1st floor and a second smaller kitchen and grill on the 2nd floor. This required the installation of additional vertical shafts within the building to accommodate make up and exhaust air systems for the new kitchens.
