BonVi

BonVi occupies a 68,923 SF ground-up construction located in the historic Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans. The mixed-use development is comprised of a two-story commercial building with a rooftop pool and 2,500 SF ground-floor retail space, as well as an adjacent five-story residential building housing 69 apartment units, 12 of which will be permanently affordable. Ryan Gootee General Contractors, in design assist with Rozas Ward Architects, executed this project while overcoming a myriad of challenges, including the onset of COVID with subsequent changes to working processes on the jobsite and supply chain, Hurricane Ida hitting the area months before completion which destroyed 20% of the roof on the residential building and the water damage that followed, and other weather-related impacts. Throughout it all, the RGGC team and our trade partners completed a building that will be a valuable asset to the neighborhood for many years to come.
