The Egg Roll House in Metairie is no more. See photos, video of restaurant demolition.

The Egg Roll House, an iconic Chinese restaurant in Metairie, closed this year after decades in business on Veterans Boulevard.

 

The beloved spot opened in 1985. Cafe Equator, a popular Thai restaurant, bought the lot and has plans to open a restaurant there.

 

The bright red building that housed the Egg Roll House was torn down Monday morning.

After nearly 40 years on Veteran’s Blvd. in Metairie, La. the well known Chinese restaurant met its demise.
