METAIRIE – Ryan Gootee General Contractors has earned a ranking on Louisiana State University’s 2023 LSU100 list of fastest growing LSU graduate-owned or -led companies.

The company’s leaders — Ryan Gootee, president and CEO, and Michael DeGruy, COO — are LSU alums.

“RGGC is made up of a team of building professionals dedicated to delivering its clients concierge-level construction services with a client-focused approach to building. We have a proven track record of success in multiple project types, including new construction, renovation, and historic restoration projects,” said Ryan Gootee in a press release.

Ryan Gootee General Contractors is a licensed commercial general contractor headquartered in Metairie. It specializes in new construction as well as design-assist historic restoration and renovation work. It has 50 full-time employees.

In the past year, RGGC has made the Inc. 5000 America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies list and has earned kudos from several local media organizations. Additionally, RGGC is a two-time National AGC Build America Award winner for its restoration work on the Sazerac House and Myrtle Banks (formerly McDonogh 38 School) projects.

“At RGGC, we take pride in our craft and the relationships that we build with each project,” said DeGruy. “Eighty percent of our work comes from repeat clients. We feel like that is a testament to the way we treat people throughout the construction process. At the end of each project, we want everyone to have been successful and everyone’s expectations to have been surpassed.”
