Anyone who’s spent enough time in New Orleans has probably seen Ryan Gootee’s name on the construction sites of schools, restaurants, apartment complexes and historic buildings.

Gootee is president and CEO of Ryan Gootee General Contractors, the company he founded in 2004.

Gootee’s family legacy in construction spans four decades, beginning with his grandfather in 1909. Gootee spent summers working on construction projects at his father’s company.

Under Gootee’s leadership, his own firm has taken on high-profile projects including the Sazerac House and the Palace Café restaurant renovation. The firm has also done multiple upgrades, renovations and new construction projects for clients including the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Caesars New Orleans, Ochsner Health and Brother Martin and Jesuit high schools.
