Nobu restaurant opens inside Caesars

Nobu Restaurant at Caesars New Orleans – featuring world-renowned Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature new style Japanese cuisine – is now open inside the Caesars New Orleans casino.

The restaurant is open for dinner on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, from 5-10 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 5-11 p.m. Reservations are available at OpenTable.

“Nobu Restaurant Caesars New Orleans provides an unmatched restaurant experience for both locals and visitors of New Orleans,” said Samir Mowad, senior vice president and general manager of Caesars New Orleans.

The menu features a variety of fresh fish and seafood offered as nigiri and sashimi. Signature dishes include Yellowtail Jalapeño featuring sliced yellowtail sashimi with garlic puree, adorned with jalapeño slices, crowned with cilantro and served with Japanese citrus soy sauce. Another highlight is the Black Cod Miso marinated in den miso sauce for two to three days.

“Chef Nobu has created a menu that is innovative and includes options that celebrate New Orleans’ deep-rooted culinary traditions while offering the signature Nobu experience that guests know and love,” said Mowad. “We’re honored to open Chef’s first Louisiana location and we’re looking forward to welcoming diners from near and far.”

The restaurant is one of the last pieces of the $435-million transformation of Harrah’s Hotel & Casino into Caesars New Orleans, merging the Caesars Entertainment brand with New Orleans culture and hospitality. Caesars New Orleans now boasts a new 340-room hotel tower, a two-floor, 54-room Nobu Hotel, and a 13,500-square-foot bar and lounge named Octavia, connecting the hotel tower and the casino. Caesars New Orleans is part of Caesars Entertainment Inc.

The casino also has 151,400 square feet of gaming and dining space. The casino features more than 1,300 slot machines, 120 table games, a 20-table World Series of Poker Room, and three outdoor gaming courtyards. In addition, there is a 5,700 square-foot Caesars Sportsbook, a celebrity chef food hall, Emeril’s Brasserie, and Nobu.

First Nobu Restaurant in Louisiana

While this is the fourth restaurant in partnership with Caesars Entertainment and Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, it is the first Nobu restaurant to be opened in Louisiana.
Ryan Gootee General Contractors (RGGC) was the lead general contractor on the restaurant.

The previous 7,470 square feet of gaming space was transformed into 4,700 square feet of dining featuring five custom dining “pods”, an intimate sushi bar, main bar and lounge, and 2,700 square feet of kitchen space.

The restaurant has 175 seating options designed by the Rockwell Group. The design draws inspiration from two sources: the lush natural environment of the New Orleans area and the original Nobu Restaurant at Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace Las Vegas, the brand’s first Nobu Hotel.

Throughout the bar and lounge area, sushi bar, and main dining space, the traditional Nobu furnishings and materials reflect the local region. The color palette is characterized by deep green millwork and stone details, burnt orange upholstery, and dark grey and black accents.

Additionally, the Rockwell Group recreated the signature dining pods from their Las Vegas design, drawing inspiration from the roots of the cypress trees native to the Louisiana wetlands. These wooden frames, draped with a woven leather lattice, create semi-private spaces that allow for a brief retreat from the casino floor while maintaining a visual connection to the vibrant dining room.
