PRESIDENT RYAN GOOTEE GENERAL CONTRACTORS

Michael DeGruy just rounded out his first year as president of Ryan Gootee General Contractors and his 20th overall with the company. And under his leadership, he has been setting up the company’s future growth through plans and projects. DeGruy was vice president of the company before being promoted to chief operating officer in 2017. The company has grown from 27 employees to 50 and has increased revenue from $50 million to more than $86 million. DeGruy is also a coowner of the company, having become a shareholder in 2018.

DeGruy has managed numerous historic renovations and new projects, including the Sazerac House cocktail museum and event venue, renovations at his alma mater, Jesuit High School, and the transformation of Harrah’s Casino to Caesars.
